In this policy we explain our privacy practices for Ethicaltime.com (which we will refer to as the “Site”), Ethical Time's mobile applications (the “Applications”), and the rest of the services provided by Ethical Time SL We will refer to Site, the Applications, and the rest of the services as a whole as the "Services".

By using the Services, you authorize Ethical Time to use your information in any country in which Ethical Time operates. Please note that the privacy laws and standards of certain countries, including the authorities' rights to access your personal information, may differ from those that apply in your country of residence.
We collect your personal information in different ways to offer the Services. We need certain information for you to use and we will provide the Services to you.
Registration, account settings, use of the Services: To be able to use the Services, you have to provide us with a valid email address, and for those Services that require registration, a name associated with your account that you can choose to represent your identity in Ethical Time. You can review, modify or delete that name in your account settings. You must provide us with this information so that we can provide the Services to you.
In the case of registering as a brand, and depending on the services you decide to use, we may need additional information for the provision of a specific service, such as the brand name, billing and payment information (including the contact name billing, billing address, phone number and credit card information or a physical mailing address. You are not required to provide this information to us for registration, but we will need it to offer you certain services. For example, if you buy a product on the Site that has to be delivered to you, we need a physical postal address. As a mark of Ethical Time, Ethical Time may require information such as your full fiscal name, ID or tax identification number, bank account information, information credit card or other proof of identification in order to verify your identity and provide you with this service, as well as to Comply with applicable law. We may store the credit card information (or adapt it to store it) and use it for both payment and billing purposes. Depending on your local jurisdiction, you may also allow us to save your credit card information to facilitate the payment process for future purchases. Ethical Time may confidentially contact individual brand owners to request more information about their brands or products advertised through the Services, or to ensure compliance with our rules and applicable law. In order to use certain products or services in Ethical Time, we may require you to fill out an application; The information you submit through the application processes will not be shown publicly and will only be used internally by Ethical Time, unless otherwise specified.
Profile: You can provide and publicly display your full name and other personal information (such as location) linked to your account and activity. You can edit or delete this information from the account settings. The name associated with your account, which you can review and modify in the settings, is public and is connected to your Ethical Time activity.
Automated information: Ethical Time automatically receives and records information from your browser or your mobile device when you visit the Site or use the Applications or certain other Services, such as your IP address or unique device identifier, cookies and data on the pages you visit to allow us to operate and provide the services. This information is stored in log files and is automatically collected.
We will also automatically collect device-specific information when you install or access or use our Services. This information could include data such as the operating system, the version of the application, the use of the application, information about the browser, the IP address and the identifiers of the device. Location information: We may collect information about your use of the Services for advertising purposes, analysis, to provide content and to protect the services. This could include your IP address, browser information (including referral sources), device information (such as iOS IDFA and IDFV for limited non-advertising purposes, Android AAID, and, when enabled, location information provided by your device). When you use the Applications, you will be able to choose if you want to share your geolocation information with Ethical Time to use functions such as our map (although you do not need to share it).
Analysis information: We use data analytics to ensure the functionality of the site and to improve the Services. We use mobile analysis software to understand the functionality of the Applications on your phone. This software may record information such as how often you use the Applications, what happens in the Applications, aggregate usage, performance data, application errors and debugging information, and from where the Applications have been downloaded. We do not link the information we store in the analytics software to any personally identifiable information you submit in the mobile application.
Third party information: some members or visitors may decide to connect to Ethical Time or register with Ethical Time using a third-party application, such as Facebook, or an application developed using the Ethical Time API. Ethical Time may receive information from those connected third-party applications. Connecting your Ethical Time account with third party applications or services is optional. If you decide to connect your account with a third-party application, Ethical Time may receive information from that application. We may also collect public information to connect with you. We use that information as part of our efforts to provide the Services to you. You can also decide to share part of your activity in Ethical Time on certain social networks that are connected to your Ethical Time account, and you can revoke the permission at any time in your account settings.
Non-member user information: Ethical Time may receive or obtain information about a person who is not yet a registered member of Ethical Time (a “non-member”) in connection with certain Ethical Time functions, such as when a non-member subscribes to an Ethical Time newsletter, participates in a transaction, or pay as a guest when you make a purchase through one of the Services. Non-member information is used only for the purposes described when it was submitted to Ethical Time or to facilitate the action authorized by the non-member.
We know that members of our community value having control over their own information. Therefore, Ethical Time gives you the option to add, edit or delete certain information, as well as choosing how you want us to communicate with you. You can change or correct your Ethical Time account information by configuring your account. You may also delete certain optional information that you no longer want to be publicly visible through the Services, such as your name. You can also request the deletion of personal information from your account.
Depending on where you live, you may also enjoy certain additional rights regarding your information, such as: (i) access to the data and its portability (including the right to obtain a copy of the personal data that you provided to Ethical Time from the section Of configuration); (ii) correction of the data (including the possibility of updating your personal data, in many cases from the configuration section); (iii) deletion of data (including the right to have Ethical Time delete your personal information, except for the information that we are obliged to keep, by contacting us); and (iv) revoke consent or oppose processing (including, in limited circumstances, the right to ask Ethical Time to stop processing your personal data, with some exceptions, by contacting us).
You can also control the reception of certain types of Ethical Time communications in your account settings. Ethical Time may send you messages about the Services or your activity. Some of these messages are necessary, service-related messages for members (such as transaction messages or legal notices). Other messages, such as newsletters, are not required. You can modify your account settings to control which optional messages you want to receive, and obtain more information in the "Ethical Time Messages" section of this policy.
We partner with third parties to manage our advertising on other sites. If you have chosen to connect your account to an external third-party application, such as Facebook, you can change the settings and remove the permission for the application by modifying your account settings.
If you no longer want to use the Services or receive service-related messages (except for legally required notices), you can close your account.
Many of the changes you make to your account settings are updated immediately, but some may take days to apply. Some important requests, such as changes in billing information or deletion of account data, may require the user to verify their identity before they can be processed.
Sometimes Ethical Time will need to contact you. The main means of sending these messages is email. Reasons include marketing, transaction, and service upgrade purposes. If you no longer want to receive push notifications, you can disable them on the device. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications via email in your account settings or from the unsubscribe link of any marketing messages you receive.
Some Ethical Time messages are service related and contain important information for members and paying users as a guest. You agree that Ethical Time may send you non-marketing emails or messages, such as those related to transactions, your account, security, or product changes. Examples of messages related to the service include the confirmation email of the email address or welcome email when registering your account, the notification of an order, the availability of the service, the modification of the most important functions, retransmission of conversations with buyers and correspondence with the Ethical Time team.
You confirm and agree (in some jurisdictions and situations, by additional unequivocal consent) to receive emails and marketing messages from Ethical Time when you sign up for an account, subscribe to a newsletter, or provide us with your email address or phone number, by example, on a paid purchase as a guest. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the marketing emails through the unsubscribe link included in such emails or messages.
Ethical Time is a market and a community. We will offer various features that allow members to connect and communicate in public or semi-public spaces, such as Forums and Groups. You don't have to use these features, but if you do, use common sense and good judgment when posting to these community spaces or sharing your personal information with others through the Services. Please note that any personal information you choose to send may be read, collected, or used by others, or it may be used to send you unsolicited messages. We may work with third parties to provide you with community services and, in the context of that relationship and in order to offer such services, we need to share some of your data with them. In general, Ethical Time does not remove content from community spaces. You are responsible for the personal information you decide to publish in the community spaces through the Services.
When you access or use the Services, we collect, use, share and otherwise process your personal information as described in this policy. We use various legal bases to use your information in these ways. These include if:
- It is necessary to complete the contractual obligations of our conditions of use, and to provide the Services to you;
- You have given your consent for us to process the information, which you can revoke at any time;

Please note that we rely on your consent, especially (i) to send marketing messages; (ii) to share data with third parties related to advertising; and, to the extent applicable, (iii) to use location data for advertising purposes.
In the cases in which we process your information to use it with legitimate interests, we do it as follows:
Provide and improve our Services: We may use your information to improve and personalize our Services, including sharing your information for such purposes. This is necessary to pursue our legitimate interests in improving our Services for our users. It is also necessary so that we can pursue our legitimate interests in understanding how our Services are being used and exploring and finding new ways to grow our business and grow it. It is also necessary for you to allow us to pursue our legitimate interests in improving our Services, our efficiency, our interest in User Services and to obtain information on patterns of use of our Services.

We use your information to provide and improve the Services and our products, for billing and payments, for identification and authentication, and for general research purposes and to generate aggregate reports. As a fundamental part of our Services, we have a legitimate interest in personalizing your experience on the site and helping you discover relevant products and recommended purchases, including using this information to help brands find the best ways to promote and sell their products on Ethical. Time. We or our brands may advertise our Services or the products of our brands through different means, and depend on your consent to do so off-site. As part of this, we may work with advertising partners, such as Facebook or Google, and we may use aggregated analytics of usage information. This includes, for example, search keywords, favorites, search history, and purchase history. In addition to the consent indicated above, we also have our legitimate interest to send you marketing messages and for Ethical Time's advertising programs.
If Ethical Time receives a legitimate and verified request for a member's records or information in one of the limited circumstances described in the preceding paragraph, Ethical Time may disclose personal information, which may include, but is not limited to, the name of a member, address, phone number, email address, and company name.
Service providers: Ethical Time also needs to engage third parties, companies, and individuals (such as payment processors, research companies, and analytics and security service providers) to help us operate, provide, and market the Services. These third parties have limited access to your information, may use it only to carry out these tasks on our behalf and are obliged by Ethical Time not to disclose or use your information for other purposes. It is common for us to have to contract external providers to provide the Services to you, especially when these companies play important roles such as processing payments and shipments, and help us keep our Service operational and secure. In other cases, these service providers are not strictly necessary for us to provide the Services, but they help us improve it. In these latter cases, we have a legitimate interest in working with service providers to improve our Services.
We can only speak for ourselves; This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Ethical Time does not own or control, individuals that are not Ethical Time employees, or that Ethical Time does not control. If you provide your information to third parties related to your use of the Services, different practices may apply to the use or disclosure of the information you provide. While Ethical Time requires these third parties to follow Ethical Time's privacy and security requirements, Ethical Time does not control the privacy or security policies of such third parties. To the extent applicable in your jurisdiction, Ethical Time is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of brands, other websites on the Internet, including those linked from the Services. We recommend that you read the privacy policies and ask third parties before spreading your personal information. To comply with European law, these brands are independent data controllers. This means that they are responsible for providing and complying with their own policies regarding any personal information they obtain related to the Services.
The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and upon receipt. Your Ethical Time account information is password protected. It is important that you choose your password carefully to protect yourself against unauthorized access to your account information and that you keep your password and computer secure through practices such as logging out after using the Services. Ethical Time encrypts certain information (such as credit card numbers) using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Ethical Time follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information that is sent to us, during transmission and once it is received. Unfortunately, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, although we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Ethical Time offers its users advanced security settings and features, such as site-wide SSL security.
Ethical Time will retain your information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, for as long as your account is active (i.e. until you close your account as a member of Ethical Time), as described in this policy or as needed to provide the Services to you. You can close your account if at any time you wish Ethical Time not to use your information again to provide you the Services. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve conflicts, enforce our agreements, and any other obligations described in this policy. In addition, Ethical Time brands may also have an obligation to retain your information and use it to fulfill their legal obligations. Please note that closing your account will not release your email address, username, or store name (if you have one) for reuse in a new account. We also retain log files for internal analysis purposes. These log files are generally kept for a short time.
You are protected by certain rights regarding the information we process. Some rights apply only in certain limited cases, depending on where you reside. If you want to manage, change, limit or delete your personal information, you can do it by configuring your Ethical Time account or by contacting us. From your account settings, you can access, correct, change and delete certain personal information associated with your account. If you need more help, you can contact Ethical Time through "Contact". We will respond to your request within a reasonable time.
If we process your information according to our legitimate interests as we have explained, or if they are in the public interest, you can object to this processing in certain circumstances. In such cases, we will stop processing your information, unless we have compelling legitimate reasons to continue processing it or when necessary for legal reasons. If we use your data for direct marketing purposes, you can object at any time via the unsubscribe link included in such communications.
If you sell with our Services, you may receive certain personal information (such as when you communicate with users and initiate transactions with buyers) and determine how you will treat it. This means that you could process personal information (for example, buyer's name, email address and shipping address) and that, to the extent that you do, you are an independent data controller subject to EU law on other users that you may have obtained through the Services.
You are responsible for protecting the personal information you receive or process, and for complying with all relevant legal requirements when using the Services. Furthermore, it must be compatible with this policy and with the Ethical Time conditions of use.
As a data controller, to the extent that you process the user's personal information outside of the Services, you may be subject to data protection and privacy laws to respond to requests for data access, portability, correction, deletion and opposition to its processing. Also, if you disclose a buyer's personal information without their consent, you will be responsible for an unauthorized disclosure. This includes, for example, unintended disclosures or data breaches. For example, you may receive a buyer's email address or other information as a result of a transaction with that buyer. This information may only be used for communications related to Ethical Time or for transactions facilitated by Ethical Time. You cannot use this information to send unsolicited commercial messages or to carry out unauthorized transactions. You may not add any member of Ethical Time to your email or postal list, use the buyer's identity for marketing purposes, or obtain or retain any payment information without the buyer's consent, and subject to other applicable policies and laws. . Keep in mind that you are responsible for knowing the standard of consent required in any given circumstance.
You can revoke your consent for us to process your information and your use of the Services at any time by closing your account permanently and deleting it through the Privacy tab of the account settings. Your account cannot have any outstanding issues, such as unpaid invoices, raw orders, or policy violations.
We may correct or update this policy from time to time. We encourage you to check it regularly to see if there are any updates.
