ETHICAL TIME IS
THE ALTERNATIVE TO THE CURRENT FASHION INDUSTRY
If we want to change fashion, we must change our consumption habits, and that will also make production models change. Consume less, and in small brands that are really committed to the environment and workers.
That is what we provide from Ethical Time: The alternative to the industry.
We work so that everyone can find truly sustainable fashion.
All the clothes that you will find in Ethical Time fulfill two basic and obligatory conditions:
- DECENT JOB
There are fair working conditions - hygienic, sanitary, security and salary. Gender equality is promoted. It ensures that there have been no practices of child, forced or discriminatory labor. It guarantees the basic rights and freedoms of workers, such as the right of association or unionization. We believe that this is an essential requirement that we all must ask of our clothes and that is why all Ethical Time products meet this requirement.
The materials used have respected the environment and human health throughout the manufacturing process: from the selection of the fibers to the finishes, through clothing. They can be natural materials, like organic cotton; artificial, like Tencel; or recycled. Currently there are so many words that talk about sustainability that sometimes we don't know what each one means. We have landed the term focusing on the material used and the processes it receives. Depending on the material, it uses a quantity of water, toxic chemicals, energy ... and generates different wastes.
We have also included more values, so that apart from the conventional price and color filters of the garment you are looking for, you can include the different requirements that you want to demand of your clothing:
- RECYCLED MATERIALS
These items are made with components from waste materials, to minimize the use of virgin raw materials.
- 100% ORGANIC
100% organic items contain at least 95% organic material. They are certified organic and are made without the use of GMOs, herbicides, or pesticides.
- MADE IN EUROPE
The products have been manufactured in Europe. They support European jobs and generate a lower carbon footprint due to reduced shipping distances for European purchases. These are brands that have opted to avoid the relocation of production, having a positive and direct impact on the local economy.
Throughout the manufacturing process no materials from animals or that compromise animal welfare have been used.
- WOMAN OWNER
Purchases of women's-owned brands support women's economic empowerment, social equality.
- ON REQUEST
The garments are produced only when they have an order, thus reducing the emission of gases, energy and stock to no avail.
